I went to Radford High with Jay. He was funny and we had many good times with friends. I left shortly after high school so did not know him as an adult. But I know he will be missed by family and friends. He was a good guy.

So very sorry for this loss he was such a good person. I had the pleasure of working with him at Chris in Radford
along with Lillian King and Tommy Christian and Eddie Radar. Always fun loving and fun to work with. He also was fond of my mom Cosby, he helped put a roof on her house years ago. Our deepest sympathy to Jay's family. Jay worked for us remodeling houses for many years along with his buddy Mike. There was no job too dirty for Jay, he would laugh and jump right in. He will be missed.

Jay was "One of a Kind" type of man never met a stranger. Like many that knew him in the 70's-80's . Pleasure to know I drank a cold beer with him. RIP Jay...

Considered Jay a close friend for about 60 years. Grew up together, had our first communion, and served as alter boys together for many years at St. Judes. Don't know anyone that had more friends than Jay. He will be missed by many for sure. Condolences to the Coughlin family.
