James Craft Obituary

James Thomas Craft, age 78, formerly of Bristol, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at the High Point Regional Hospital, High Point, N.C.
Mr. Craft was a native of Wise, but had spent most of his life in the Bristol area. He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Navy veteran, where he served during World War II, and a member of the Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post 6975.
Survivors include his children, Jim Craft and wife Anita of Freeland, Wash.; Sharon Craft of Reno, Nev., Danette Cullop and husband Jim of High Point, Mickey Craft, Eddie Craft, Rickey Craft, Jerry Craft and wife Kathy and Tim Craft and wife Kim, all of Greensboro, N.C., and Yvonne Cruz and husband Jamie of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Joyce Sims of Landcaster, Calif., and Mert Cox of Bristol Tennessee;, brothers, Rudy Craft of Bristol Virginia, and Allen Craft, Don Craft and Bill Craft all of Anderson, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan., 2, 2005, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Byerly officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Friends will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be conducted by the Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post 6975 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the Weaver Funeral Home. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
