Seeing him on the 1st Gidget movie with Sandra Dee. Fell in love with him and watched him in Time Tunnel and T J Hooker. My condolences to his beautiful wife and 3 sons. I remember my Mom taking me to see the Gidget movies and I had such a crush on James Darren. My husband and I went to Atlantic City to see him perform once at the Clarridge and at Harrah's. I was lucky enough that he came out after one of his performances and he was so nice that I asked if I could get a picture taken with him and he said sure, so my husband took the picture. I really wish my Mom had gotten the chance to see him perform.

Moondogie . I, being of Italian descent from New York grew up loving such a huge array of special talents that have now passed on. From Frank , Tony, and my father who passed away this past June. I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Darren one evening at the restaurant
Tiramisu. I was with my boyfriend, Dr Dan Blechman and reverted back to my young girl days telling him look it´s my crush James Darren. I just read about the passing of James and am very sad to hear it. We lived directly across the street from James and Evy in Coldwater Canyon, and I babysat Christian and baby Anthony. Your father would bring you over to visit often. When your family moved away, James picked me up and took me to your birthday party, as he knew I was very sad to see you leave. James was a wonderful actor, and an incredibly kind man. I was a huge fan and always will be. Evy was always kind and lovely. I am thinking about your beautiful mother Evy, Christian and Anthony, and sending my deepest condolences.

I was 15yrs old and my best friend Dorothy and I played hooky from the nursing sisters for the sick poor where we volunteered that Saturday and attended the James Darren´s wedding at the Lady Chapel of St Patrick´s Cathedral. I remember his manager giving us rice to throw. I feel in love with that chapel behind the main altar and got married there. I always wanted to tell him this story

I first met James in 1958 at Columbia Pictures in Hollywood. Later on in life he directed me in an episode of "Hunter." He was always a kind and considerate human being, with a great sense of humor. I was always happy about all of his success in the entertainment industry. He managed to live all of his ambitious dreams, and humility was of great importance to him. God bless Jimmy! Truly, one of the good guys!

OMG I LOVED HIM! To this day I love all the Gidget movies and I'm 67. I once saw him sing in person at Knott's Berry Farm in the 1970's. I couldn't believe how handsome he was! And I actually got to meet him years later when he was filming T.J. Hooker. I stood face to face with him, he gave me his autograph and to this day I have never met such a beautiful man in my entire life. So sorry about his passing. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I first saw James Darren as an actor in the '60s in The Time Tunnel. My Brother and I were just little children but we never missed an episode! Later in life, he appears in DS9 as a lounge singer. His acting and singing performances were excellent and added so much to the show. He had the whole package of entertainment and being a director to boot! He was a unique talent and I feel like this is an end of the classic era of honest entertainment where actors brought all their abilities to the plate and not just "dubbed voices". James Darren was the best! May he rest in peace.

I loved James Darren in all of the Gidget movies, and any time he was interviewed he was very humble and kind. He was so very handsome, and I thought (when I was younger) that he and Sandra Dee were in love in real life. I was glad to learn that they were still friends before Sandra Dee passed away. I am grateful that he gave so much to the world with his smooth acting ability and beautiful smooth voice! I saw all of his movies when he was young, and I loved the Time Tunnel and T. J. Hooker, and I enjoyed seeing him in Hollywood Squares and other game shows and sitcoms like The Love Boat! We all have to go this journey someday, yet it is always sad when it is someone the world loves and admires. God be with you, wonderful James Darren, and may you rest in perfect peace.

My husb and I went to South Point in Vegas and watched his show. James saw I brought an Album for him to sign and ask my husb and I to stay after, and signed my album for me and took photos he WAS A VERY HUMBLE AND BEAUTIFUL MAN AND A GOOD ACTOR. On my 60th birthday! I asked management if I could bring a cake to celebrate. I approached James after his show and asked him if he would like to share some cake. He said "I'd love to". His entourage invited me to join them at their table. Hard to believe that was ten years ago already! I have some beautiful pictures with him.
