James L. "Jim" Davison

James L. Davison (Jim), age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen, a sister, Mary Lynn DeShazo and husband Charles, two children: Ben Davison and wife Sandra, and Ann Sattler and husband Scott. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Austin Davison, Carter Davison, Parker Davison, Chloe Sattler, and Hank Sattler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Fairy Davison; his daughter, DeAnne Davison; and his brother, Tollie Davison.

Jim is a veteran of the Korean War. He grew up in Carthage, Texas, the youngest son of Lloyd and Fairy Davison. Jim graduated from Texas A&M University in 1954. He then started his 35-year career with Sun Oil in Dallas, Texas. Jim was a charter member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas. In 2006, Jim and Helen left Dallas and moved to The Woodlands, Texas, where they became active members of their retirement community and Crossroads Baptist Church.

Services will be held on Monday, April 10, at 11:00 am at Crossroads Baptist Church with viewing prior to the service at 10:00 am. He will be interred at Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
