James Robert Dearworth Sr. M.D.

My family was kept well by Dr. Dearworth’s for many years, am so sorry he was lost to our family. He was truly the best physician and his wife the best nurse we have yet found to this day. Sorely miss them both. Sincerely, Sharlen Van Wert

I knew him as Dr. Jim and we were members of the Kirkwood Chapter of the SAR. He was also a member of the Kirkwood Chapter Color Guard. I looked to him for leadership and wisdom. he had both! I just now found out about his passing and and I had to come here to leave a few words for his sons, Jim and John. I looked to Dr. Jim for advice and he was a devout Christian. I will always treasure my memories of Dr. Jim at SAR activities, especially the many parades he participated in. I am glad he is out of pain and with Ann!

Dr. Dearworth, and his wife, his nurse, took care of our family for years. They were fantastic as a team together, and Dr. Dearworth was such as caring, competent, and compassionate physician, who had our full trust at all times. He will be sorely missed. My husband and I were both his patients. He saved my life at least twice when he recognized my hard-to-diagnose illnesses. Because of his tenacity, I got appropriate care in time and lived to see my children graduate high school and college, and to be at my daughter's wedding. Some debts can never be repaid.

My husband was a patient of his way back almost 50 years ago.....when he was on Main Street

Dr. Dearworth was my trusted family physician for years. He provided great service to my elderly neighbor. I considered him the embodiment of a what a small town practitioner should be. My deepest sympathy to the family.

To Jim and Marcia, My heart goes out to you on the loss of your father. It is clear that his patients found him a devoted and gifted physician. His dedication is also evident in the duty and compassion he instilled in you, Jim. These losses are never easy, but I hope that you are comforted by wonderful memories and the sure knowledge that your friends care about you. Please accept our condolences. Dr. Dearworth saw my granddaughter Maeghan early in the morning when she had abdomen pains which turned out to be an appendicitus. By noon, he had her in the hospital and removed her appedendix. He had never seen her before that day, but did not hesitate to take care of her. I have the highest regard for him as a doctor and a compassionate human being. Rest in peace Dr. Dearworth!

I was a patient of Dr. Dearworth until I moved away. He was always helpful and seemed a caring and compassionate person. Sorry to hear of his passing. I am sure he will be missed by many. RIP.

Dr. Dearworth was our family doctor for 46 years. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

Dr. & Mrs. Dearworth were long time favorite customers of Wesley's Restaurant. We were fortunate to have waited on all of the Dearworth family at times over the years. It is with great sadness to hear of his passing.
