Hello Jim Dines family,

I hope all is well. I have a second book coming out. If possible it would be a great honor if you could send me one of my images with Jim Dines. I worked with him for the gold predictions on his book signings. He is one of the people who motivated me. I modeled under the stage name Siana Craig, exxontechnologies.com

"Under Jim Dines' guidance, my research on "Wealth in the Water" - a groundbreaking yet underappreciated field - attracted $9 trillion in investments and sparked 500 publications following his influential letter. His mentorship instilled in me the concept of "walking memory" to create a cycle of prosperity. As I navigate upcoming court challenges, I'm inspired by the lessons and spirit of Jim Dines. If you have any photos of our time working together in New York, I'd be grateful if you could share them."

A purchase of a book today continues the legacy.

One of my all time favorites. Very good to me. A great, but discerning client.
When I retired and moved to the other side of the country, I didn't stay in touch. Remember that.

When I became aware of Mr. Dines newsletter and a subscriber, he confirmed what I had come to believe -- Gold was (and is) the only authentic currency that was true 4,000 years ago, and today.

A man who faithfully kept his family and friends close. Encouraged everyone to reach for the stars. Always ready with a sardonic quip. And appreciated human beauty so much he bought and transformed a modeling agency into a fun, prestigious and profitable entity. He left a indelible in print on all he met.

Jim Dines was a great analyst. I began subscribing to the Dines letter when still in college. What I learned from him was very useful when I started my investing career which continues to this day.

So sad to hear the passing of Mr Dines. I met him in the 90s at the New Orleans conference. Every year I would go to the conference and hang out with him at his booth talking and sharing stories. He always was ahead in time ,thinking out side the box and a great entertainer . He will be missed.

I first met Jim Dines in my early 30´s 1998 at Toronto Mining Convention where I represented many publicly trading companies; Diamond's to Industrial Minerals!
Jim was a key gem in my career learning curve; sharing tremendous information of cyclical trends in the Capital Markets!
He truly respected women in business and took time out of his busy day of his international company to ask me how my two little boys were and also offered feedback about the many companies that I represented.
Jim was missed at this year´s PDAC mining show and many had stories to share about his humor, warmth but keen Witt and high intelligence!

I always enjoyed hearing James Dines speak at the annual Gold Conference in San Francisco. He was the rare financial expert who was both enlightening and entertaining. Farewell to a legend in financial publishing.

I first met Jim Dines at the PDAC in Toronto in 1996 at his famous booth!
His psychology of the masses was based on Fibonacci and human reaction to world events which determined decisions affecting the capital markets.
Jim took me to dinner for wine tasting for which he was a true connoisseur.
We became friends through these many years, wherein I would direct many of my public company clients for a potential buy recommendation.
He recommended Amazon at $3.00 per share to Toronto investors.
Jim was a brilliant visionary, ahead by a century!
He was a class act, perfect gentleman with a keen Witt but friendly disposition!
This year´s PDAC event in Toronto will miss him!
He told me that a good promoter is worth more than a good deposit!
Toast from Bay Street Canada to Jim!

I first heard of James Dines in 1972, as I was beginning to trade in my own account. I had decided that there were going to be only a few people that I listened to, and of them was James Dines. He was always a showman of sorts and was "all in" on the latest trend. At the time, it was gold, and I bought physical gold at $90 per ounce (which I still own). Over the years, I continued to buy gold on his recommendations. He was early into many other trends, too.
Back in those days, which was at the beginning of the 1973-74 bear market, Dines was short that bear market, and so was I. Dines used to say things like "by geometry, the market is still bearish" and then he would draw a simple downtrend line on the chart of the Dow. Not rocket science, and not really geometry either, but effective in staying with the trend. That was classic Dines.
He wrote the quintessential text on technical analysis, How the Average Investor Can Use Technical Analysis For Stock Profits. The book is a classic, but he let it go out of print, so if you can even find a copy today, it is probably going to be expensive (you can´t buy mine). I loaned my copy once - in the early 1980's - to my head trader on the arbitrage desk at Thomson McKinnon. He thought the book was so terrific that he flat out stated, "I am not returning this book." I bought another copy, since it was still in print at the time.
So, R.I.P. James Dines. You were a true believer in new trends and were not swayed by "Wall Street."

My dear cousin never forgot to stay in touch, humble in his celebrity. Often took my mother, his aunt, to lunch or supper in long past days.
Always in loving memory. An unbearable loss.

My father introduced me to TDL in 1977 and I have been a subscriber for 45 years. Always looked forward to his letter. Feel like I have lost a friend. Hope to see his prediction of the Dow and price of gold crossing in the future. His foresight was amazing. RIP!
