I liked Jim from the first time I met him...but he earned my everlasting vote in 1965, when he vetoed my sister and I got to take her brand new yellow Pontiac out on a Friday evening.

He was kind, tall and movie-star handsome, always impeccably dressed, and a true gentleman. Jim and my sister were deeply in love, when they married in 1966 and remained as in love for the nearly forty-nine years they were husband and wife.

My children greatly enjoyed being with him, and didn't think there was anything Uncle Jim couldn't fix, build or do. Wonderful judges of character that they are, our silly little Papillons preferred him to any other human. Jim taught me to drive a stick shift, my son to tack, and my daughters what to look for in a man to marry.

Bob and I and our family will always love him, will fondly tell Jim stories for years to come, and will greatly miss him.

Jim was my boss at the Army Base in South Boston and attended my wedding. He was a wonderful man. May all your special memories help get you through this sad time.
