James Dube Obituary
He was raised in and spent his entire life in Plaisted on the shores of Eagle Lake. When healthy Jim loved to hunt and fish, and depending on the weather would ride his motorcycle or his snowmobile along the roads and trails near Plaisted. Jim was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree. Before he became disabled Jim spent 20 years working for J. Paul Levesque Lumber in Masardis.
Jim battled Neurofibromatosis his entire life, and came to know, and be known by many incredible caregivers in Fort Kent, Bangor, Portland, Boston and places in-between. The family wishes to thank the dedicated and compassionate health care givers of NMMC, EMMC, Forest Hill Manor, Mercy Home, Dr's. Christopher Ritter, Erik St. Pierre, and Erwin Seywerd, and in particular Dr. Paul Pelletier.
Jim is survived by his mother Joan, his brother Clayton (Louise), his sister Ann (Bill), nieces and nephews; Christine (Shane), Ben, Kenneth, Angie, Phillip (Kenzie), Jon (Abbey), Sam (Lindsay), and Holly (Matt), and many grandnephews and grandnieces.
Jim was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Dube.
Friends may call July 10th, Friday from 11 to 12 :30 p.m. at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Committal services will follow in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, in Wallagrass. For those who wish to remember Jim in a special way, they can make a donation to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St. Fort Kent, Me. 04743.

Clayton, I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. May God provide your Mom with peace and comfort & love/peace to you & your sister. Jim had crosses to bear that few of us can even imagine yet he managed so well because you all loved, protected and encouraged him to be independent and strong. I remember Jim especially as a kid who was gentle, always courteous ... he totally loved baseball. RIP Jim.
