James Ledford Dunn

James L. Dunn died peacefully at his home, in Salinas on October 23, 2022. He was born in Marysville CA on May 27, 1942. During his childhood years he lived on a ranch near Ukiah. When Jim was a teenager, his family moved to Chico where he graduated from Chico High School. In 1962 he moved with his family to Hollister California where he met his wife, Roberta Rogers. They were married for 58 years and raised three children.

He worked for Firestone Tire & Rubber Company for seventeen years and served as the union vice-president until the factory closed. He went on to work in produce as loading dock manager. He coached and managed many Little League teams and served as President of the Ferrasci Park Little League. He enjoyed meeting people and listening to their stories. He could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. To him no one was a stranger. Jim loved to play Blackjack and enjoyed trips to Reno with his extended family.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Dunn. as well as his daughter Rhonda Dunn, his sons Robert Dunn (Brandi), and Richard Dunn all of Salinas. He leaves his brothers Richard L. Dunn of Redding CA and twin brother William D. Dunn of Spreckles CA. He is also survived by grandsons Tyler, Logan, and Owen, and granddaughter Averi one great-grandson Nolan. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was proceeded in death by his mother June Robertson and brother Gene Manson.
