Dear Beth, Donna, Gene and Jim
I am so sad to hear about your Dad. I have good memories of him and his enthusiasm for life. Will always remember how much he loved his pies and pork. He was so much fun. I know that you will all miss him very much.

Uncle Jim, I will miss your stories and wisdom. He was like a mixture of Ben Franklin, Walt Disney and Will Rogers. He was also one of heroes. God bless James Eaton and his family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim for over forty five years. He imparted much wisdom and guidance with his knowledge of all things mechanical. Without a doubt Jim was one of the most intelligent men I ever worked for and with. My daughter would come to the Honda shop on Saturdays, when she was only four years old, and clean the motorcycles when I worked for Jim. These memories will stay with me the rest of my life. Jim enabled me to purchase the last Jeep Eaton Motors was able to order before they gave up the Jeep franchise. I enjoyed the travels to inspect aircraft with Jim as there was always a lesson to be learned. I took the opportunity to visit Jim after we had seen him at his 100th birthday celebration, not knowing it would be the last time I would ever speak to him. My wife Deb or as Jim called her Deboreeno and I enjoyed the birthday party and would not have missed it for the world. James, you will be missed.

My parents, Dale and Virginia Lauderbaugh, were friends with Jim in the Antique Car Club. I fondly remember many activities with the HCCA and the many shows that he sponsored. He was a fine gentleman and always willing to share his knowledge of antique cars. I also remember many enjoyable moments with the Eaton family at the Goss family camp. My prayers are offered for his family.
