ELLIOTT, JAMES HAROLD - age 86 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Summit View of Lake City. He was born March 2, 1925 in Scott County to the late Wade and Ethel Newport Elliott. James was Army Veteran, who served in France and Germany. He was a member of the Clear Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by, brothers, George and Rodney Elliott; sister, Shirley Jean Elliott; sister-in-law, Mamie Elliott. Survivors: wife, Kate Elliott, Lake City; son, Ricky Elliott and wife, Pat, Andersonville; grandchildren, Justin Elliott, Lake City, Caitlyn Galka and husband, David, Fort Myers, FL; great-grandchildren, Tyler Elliott, Heiskell, Jackson Galka, Fort Myers, FL; brothers , Tommy and Lynn Elliott, South Carolina, Jack and Wilma Elliott, Lake City, Paul Elliott, Indiana, Kenneth and Mary Elliott, Lake City; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation: 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Norton officiating. Interment to follow at Leach Cemetery in Lake City, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leach Cemetery Fund c/o Ed Bodak, 330 Old Clear Branch Lane, Lake City, TN 37769.
