Wichita, Kansas - James Eugene Ellis, 89, died, Monday, January 2nd, 2023.
He was born July 25, 1933 to Howard and Ruby (Smith) Ellis in Iola, Kansas. He married Lola Beth Nickel on May 3, 1957 and she died on February 10, 2021. He worked for Boeing as a printer and also worked for Acme Lithography before his retirement.
James entered the Military Service in 1953, and was honorably discharged in 1955. He received the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Medal, United Nations Medal, and the Medal for Good Conduct.
He loved to fish, travel and go camping. His greatest love was fishing and tying is own jigs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers Steve and George Ellis.
James is survived by his son David (Susan) Ellis, daughter Penne (John) Eaglin and granddaughter Amanda (Josh) Lesser.
Memorial Service will be held at Comfort Care Homes, Wichita, KS., January 20th at 10:30 AM. The Service will be limited to Immediate Family and Health Care Providers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Humane Society

One of my favorite pressmen at Acme Litho. 1979-82 when i worked with him.
