He was a great teacher He will be missed dearly

So sorry to hear of Coach Erf´s passing. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a mentor and role model to me in addition to being a teacher and coach. We shared many classes, basketball games, bus rides and hallway conversations in elementary, middle and high school in Galion. He was a big influence in my decision to attend Wittenberg and helped me get admitted by writing a letter of recommendation. I will always value his friendship and guidance and consider myself lucky to have had him in my life.

RIP, old friend. Deepest sympathy to Jim's Family and friends at this time of grief and sadness.

Jim coached me how to do a basketball scorebook. We spent many hours side by side working the scorer's table. Many officials told us our table was one of the best they worked with. Fond memories, RIP Jim. Praying for Ann and family.

Truly a great teacher, coach and friend. I patterned many of my own coaching styles after his influences!
