Mr. Evon will be missed by all...A true Pillar of the community and one of the nicest people ever. My sympathies to his family.

I remember Jim Evon, fondly, for several reasons, one of which was how kindly he treated my mother in her later years. He always gave her a helping hand whenever she needed it and brought her to family gatherings so she would not feel left out. She appreciated all that he did and told me so on more than one occasion. Jim and I were at opposite ends of the political spectrum; we, nevertheless, exchanged political views without mean-spirited overtones or animosity. Jim was a jovial guy who practiced his Christian faith with positive feeling and generosity; he could be austere, but always in a loving manner. He will be missed by all of us who enjoyed his good humor and challenging intellect.

I am so sorry to hear about this. He was the nicest guy ever. His love for his family was very evident. His faith was super strong. I'm sure he's in his eternal home in Heaven with his wonderful wife enjoying his new everlasting life!
