My deepest sympathy on the loss of your dad. He was a dad to me growing up. Where do I start with the memories. At your house, the lake, the drive to the lake, etc. I am sorry I was away when he passed, I surely would have been there. Patty if there is anyway you can get in touch with me I would love it. My moms phone number is still the same.

Dear Patty, Mrs.Fanning and family,
My mother called to tell me about your sweet father passing away. My memories of your Dad are endless and beautiful. He was the father I never had; supporting my swimming when no one else did. He always knew my times and events, and would even give me my splits! Patrice Smith & I still talk about those days with Big Jim!
My biggest memory is ALWAYS going to Sunday 6am before meets. He would also help drive me to every meet and even morning pratices!
His smile and laugh will forever leave a lasting impression. How blessed you were to have him as a father & husband.
