I was born the year Jim moved to Ringwood (1941); goodness he was in the Army before I uttered a full sentence,
yet it seems like I knew Jim my whole life; speaks volumes of the man I came to know very well.
He was the consummate gentleman. He loved Children's Medical Center, its mission and the many miracles therein. Jim was the second hospital Chief Executive Officer I met after assuming my position in the DFW area....
I will never forget our conversation...he took the time to explain the unique characteristics of area hospital leaderships and their respective missions...best history lesson one could have the second day on the job. God will continue to bless Jim Farnsworth.

Although I never had the privilege of working with Mr. Farnsworth, I benfited greatly from the legacy he left at Children's Medical Center. He always offered words of support and encouragement. We were blessed to follow in his footsteps.

In 1968 Jim was a founding member of what is now the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council. He was instrumental in its development and success. Jim was a man who made his family and friends proud and happy. Because of him and others every citizen in the metroplex enjoys a great healthcare environment. God bless Jim Farnsworth.

Mr. Farnsworth had a wonderful and profound impact upon healthcare, the DFW Hospital Council, the North Texas community at large, the well being of children, and almost everyone he met. His passing is truly heaven's gain.
