James "Jim" Farrow, 77, of Eldorado, passed away at 1:30 AM, Friday, April 20th, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville. Jim was born in Cairo, IL on November 27, 1934, a son of the late Lorene and Pete Farrow. He was a member of Duquoin Gospel Assembly Church. Jim was active in his church and had a genuine love for music. He sang in the choir at the Duquoin Church and was song leader at the Eldorado Gospel Assembly Church for 32 Years prior to that. He worked as a Boilermaker in his earlier years and later in the sporting goods department at Wal-mart before retirement. He served in the U.S. Army. He was the husband of Oleta Bevoine Farrow. They were married December 22, 1957 in Paducah, Kentucky at the Gospel Assembly Church by Rev. W.T. Garland. In addition to his wife Oleta, Jim is survived by a daughter, Melody (Danny) Stevens, of Carterville; a brother, Mike (Amy) Farrow, of Cario, his grandchildren and pride and joy, Alexis and Haley Stevens of Carterville and several nieces and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Phillip Farrow and William Farrow. Funeral Services will be at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 1:00 on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 with Rev. Gaylen Holden officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
