There are so many wonderful memories. My favorite part of my relationship with my father is the fact that he loved me no matter what. Also, the wonderful relationship we had the years before he passed. My father was a talented, funny, truly kind human being. The void in my heart will never close. I love you Daddy and I miss you with an ache I cannot describe.

Papa Ford will be greatly missed. Such a caring and beloved man. From his love of the Lord to his booming voice and guitar. He was like a walking jukebox, he knew so many songs! Amazing! Fordy shared his joy for life with all who were lucky enough to meet him. Plus, he always loved to eat and I love to cook so we were comrades from the beginning. He and Johnny would always quote Lonesome Dove quotes throughout the day that would be hilarious! An avid reader and lover of history, too. Our civil war trail journeys while he and JoJo lived in Virginia will always stand out. Dropping off our little Gus to play with Precious while we went to work. Those two pups loved each other! Mostly I am grateful to Papa Ford for teaching my husband to love again. Introducing him to the healing love of Jesus! Which I am certain he did for many others. So many wonderful memories to keep you alive in our hearts, Fordy! We will meet again in heaven!

I met Jim many years ago as we worked together to provide a meal for a large group of homeless folks in Salinas. He touched my life in an amazing way that day, as he sincerely loved and prayed for each person that came forth to get a plate of food. He did not judge, only loved.
Since then, I've been blessed to have Jim a key person in my life and a great friend as we talked each week about his illness, but mainly discussed the Bible and Scripture. Jim always ended each call or meeting with "I love you brother and God bless."
Pastor Ford has left a lasting impression on me that I'll keep for the rest of my days on this earth.
I can't wait to see him at the gates of Heaven, which I'm sure he'll be playing his guitar and relaxing in his lazy-boy, singing praise music to our Lord and King Jesus Christ.
RIP brother Jimmy... Love ya man...

Ford was a true free spirit whose love for music echoed through the mountains and into the hearts of all who new him. He lived life passionately, embracing every moment with a joyous heart. In his younger days he partied hard, creating memories filled with with laughter and adventure. But his transformation through faith that truly defined him saved by Christ, he became a warrior for the lord dedicating his life to uplifting those in need whether reaching out to the homeless or individuals in jail be showed compassion and kindness reminded us all of the power of Love and redemption. I had the privilege to live with him in the mountains where we faced challenges like no power no running water. Despite these hardships we always had each other creating a bond that will last forever.
