Dear Nancy: I found by a strange accident the news about James Forte's death. I hope you'll remember me, Hayg Boyadjian, composer. I still live in Lexington. I remember very well my friendship with James, he was such a great and amiable person. I feel lucky to have known him. And I am sure he is missed by many people. I have in front of me his book of poetry, "The Transparent Hero" which he signed for me. My very heartfelt condolences at the loss of James. I am sure he lives in our memories, for as long as we live. Hayg

Shanti, I am so sorry for your loss. Believe it or not but I had emailed Jim earlier to see if he was planning on visiting CT to see the fall foliage. I will miss the Dr. hearty laugh!

Shanti and Lynne, I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing on from the earthly plane. What a wonderful remembrance and reflection. Delighted to learn more about him and his life especially in the years after I knew him at PK.

Thank you Al, your tribute means a lot to me. Yes, Taz could rock a room either with laughter or his educational talks. Much love.

I read your life tribute of Jimmy today in the CT post and I wanted to reach out with condolences.
I was saddened to learn he died so young (I guess everything is relative.) The tribute also brought back a lot of funny memories of Taz - the Tazmanian devil. In case you are unaware of how he got that nickname, he earned it for his occasional "overwhelmption" where his arms would be flailing as he good-naturedly "attacked" one of us. Many a night a group of us would meet at the local pool hall where Steady Eddie Rasmussen would be trying to hustle a few bucks playing pool, or across the street at the local diner or in the MacDonald's parking lot.
As you described so well, Taz was full of life and constantly made us laugh. After high school, as usually happens, most of us lost touch. However, my memories of Jimmy are still strong. He will be missed.
