James Stearns Gable

Lisa, I´m so sorry that I didn´t see this sooner. I have such incredible memories of Jim and his family. They were nearly my second family when we were kids and during breaks from high school. Jim was ahead of his time and light years ahead of me. He touched so many people in ways they don´t even know but I cherish our childhood memories, playing tennis, trying to sail, riding bikes and hours spent at the local Radio Shack in Frankfort! He is at peace and I trust that you and Helen Anne will find the strength to get through this difficult time. You all are in my prayers!

We will miss Jim very much. Jim was an incredibly accomplished, passionate, yet humble man who made everyone he met feel comfortable and welcome. I will miss our conversations about politics, patriotism and marketing. And as a marketer who worked on Mountain Dew´s positioning and advertising, I will miss our many fun chats about his favorite beverage. Rest in peace Jim. Xo

So grateful to have known Jim Gable for so many years through his brilliant wife, Lisa, who has been by his side for 30 years. We grieve for her and Helen Anne and will donate to Dr. Mara in his memory. We hope our schedules allow us to participate in the California memorial. Thinking of John, Gingy, Bo & Beth also at this difficult time.

Like so many people, Melanie and I will miss Jim's kindness, curiosity, and unflagging optimism. The world has lost a beautiful soul.

I worked with Jim at Apple back in the day. He was always friendly, honest, down-to-earth, and easy to work with. A lovely human being. I can still clearly hear his voice and laugh. Sending my condolences to Jim's family.

I only had the opportunity to meet Jim a few times, but the last time I was at their Watergate home provided me a lifetime memory of the special love Jim shared with Lisa. Jim was sitting quietly at the back of the room as Lisa addressed her guests for the evening. While most were looking at Lisa, I was fortunate to look at Jim. The look on his face was a looking glass into his heart-a calm smile of love and admiration. It was so genuine and special. I know how much the family and friends will miss him, but I can picture Jim in Heaven with the same look...the same smile...and the same everlasting love always by the side of those he loves most when he needs them most. Condolences to the family. The world lost Jim way too early.
