kathy & jamie,
I am unable to adequately express myself in your loss of your Dad, someone who to me will always be my Big Brother. To this day, I am always asked, Are you related to Dave Gallen??This, in a city that has
not been Dave's for over 50 years. It speaks highly for the respect with that he is held. My reply is always a proud.. yes.. he is my brother.
I'll miss him.. Kathy, i know how much you will.

Kathy and Jamie, I am so sad to hear about your father's death. I just found out last evening. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love, stay strong and remember how much we all loved your dad and mom. Many fun times at the Gallen house.

I had the pleasure of meeting my Uncle David but once, but that one visit was one I will always remember. I looked forward to meeting him during the whole time leading up to that day at Uncle Ralph's. Because I shared his name like my brother mentioned, I would often ask my Mom to tell me stories about him and what he was doing. I am proud of what my Uncle was able to accomplish coming up the way he did, building a life, career and a family he loved dearly. I am proud to be his namesake.

To Kathy & Jamie, sincere wish for peach & strength in your time of need. Uncle David will always be remembered by me as the Uncle who always had time to play with me & get me yelled at by my mom (ha ha), he will be sorely missed & i am sure is watching over all of us now. God Bless and always remember no distance can separate family. I will miss him terribly and never forget the memories that i have of him.

Even though he was far away my Uncle David was always in our thoughts and discussions of family and days past. We always thought of him fondly. The fact that my brother is named after him will always be a great reminder of our uncle.

Kathy and family, I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a very loving father and grandfather, I know he idolized Jessica and Jimmy so much! He was friend to everyone, and always had the most interesting stories to share. Please know that my thoughts are with you; it's not an easy time, but I know your memories will be a great comfort to you. He will be very greatly missed in the community, as everyone knew him, and he knew everyone!
Sincerely, Bonnie Olafson

Dave was one of the most interesting people I have met in my life. He was an extremely loving grandfather whose children and grandchildren learned a great deal about life and how to make the best of it. I will miss him, particularly at the annual Christmas Eve get-together. Kathy, my thoughts are with you always.
