As a perennial UW shock-trooper rower whose name Fil couldn't remember, I would have passed on the opportunity to try sculling had it not been for Jim and Big Al. Both encouraged me repeatedly to work w an artist to craft a hinged ankle for my b/k prosthesis in order to row full slide in a single shell. Racing with Jim was incredible because he loved to win, but with a determined smile on his face. He and his family weren't just handsome: they are strikingly beautiful both inside and out. Jim Clark
