Jim was a good person. My family and I will miss him and we will always remember his sense of humor. There are numerous "Gildeaisms" that I can not discuss but many of his friends will continue to laugh out loud for the rest of our lives.... Thanks, Jimmy. RIP

I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with Jim at HUP. He was a true original. I always enjoyed having coversations with him. Sometimes deep, sometimes funny, always entertaining. You will be missed. Mary, Tyler, Kurt, and Mitchell, my thoughts are with you.

Very sad to hear the news. We lost a good friend.... and comedian. Jimmy left us with a lot of great stories that will keep his spirit alive for a very long time. Rest in peace buddy.

I lived at 4012 Fairhill st and Jim's mom Peggy was good friends with my mom and Peggy babysat me while my mom was working at Episcopal hospital. The Gildea's were a very nice family and I remember growing up with all of them. R I P Jim. Childhood memories never die.
