James Glenn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 7, 2025.
James (Jim) Patrick Glenn, 66, of Cave Creek, Arizona, passed away under the stars at his residence on 6/28/2025.

Jim was born in Minneapolis, MN, on January 16th, 1959, to Joe and Jeanne Glenn. The third of five children, and the younger twin, Jim, spent his youth growing up in Waconia and on Lake Minnetonka. He attended Mound Westonka High School and later attended the University of Minnesota to study business. Jim moved to Arizona in 1993, where he fell in love with the desert and spent his remaining years, "you don't have to shovel sunshine," as he would always say. He had a successful 30+ year career in the Electronics Distribution industry, working in Sales at both Arrow and Avnet. He loved anything involving sports and competition, especially golf, his 1970s Barracuda from his High School days, being a member of the Ranchers at Tatum Ranch Golf Club, and most of all, he loved his four children and their families.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jeanne Glenn, and is survived by his four children: Josh (and his family, including Kayla, Riley, Hudson, and Miles), Patrick (and his family, including Danielle, Skye, and Sadie), Noah, and Parker, as well as his four siblings: Joe, Mike, Patty, and John.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family.

Jim took me under his wing as a young technician. He was kind, funny as all get out and gave me confidence in myself as a professional and a man. We talked not long ago and to hear this... it rips me apart. Jimmy, I´ll miss you but you´ll most certainly not be forgotten. Thank you for all the laughs, lessons and guidance. I´ll see you on the final nine when my time comes. Save a cold one for me. Love you brother.

I am sorry to hear this. Working along Jimmy Glenn at Avnet was a pleasure. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Because of who he was, a man of his word, he enjoyed amazing loyalty from his customers. He will be missed. I pray God's comfort for his family as only He can do.
