James Gorin Obituary
He was born on June 30th, 1948, to Dorothy and William Gorin in Lima, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Bourdon Gorin, who resides in Deltaville, Va; his sister, Joanna Cronin of Michigan and Florida; mother-in-law, Betsy Bourdon; three sisters-in-law, Cheryl, Susan and Sue; one brother-in-law, Kevin and many nieces and nephews.
Mike worked for 25 years as an electrical engineer in semiconductors for IBM. He was then the lead engineer with a new start up business between IBM and Tosiba. His passion was sailing, which he enjoyed on Lake Champlain in Vermont as well as Chesapeake Bay. He loved his church family at Christ Church. He held many positions at Christ Church to include the vestry, junior warden and volunteering on the tech team and cemetery committees.
His celebration of life was held on December 15th, 2024, at Christ Church Parrish, Saluda, VA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Church Parrish, 56 Christchurch Lane, Saluda, Va. 23149 or Lower Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, Va 23043
