I knew Jim Graff when we were both in the 779th Troop Carrier Squadron at Pope AFB, NC. He and a crew went to the Pacific and ended up at CCK AB, Taiwan a couple of months before I went to Naha, Okinawa. I was at Cam Ranh Bay the night he was killed. Since we were in different units, I didn't know who the crew was for a day or so. I am glad his family now has some closure.

Thank you so much Capt. Graff for your sacrifice so that I was able to grow up in a free nation. I was only a toddler when you gave your life for me...for everyone. Thank you for making freedom and democracy more attainable to so many throughout our world.
With love and honour to you and your family,
Marie Patterson
