In memory of
William F Green
July 15, 2025
I shed tears every once in a while when I think of all those in my life who have left. At 64 I look back and think I never realized that someday I would be the oldest on our branch of the Green tree. My heroes, Bob and Jim watch over me, love you.

Golf season is here. As I look back, I wish so much that we could have had foresomes with our Fathers, Grandfathers, Brothers more. No offense to the ladies, none of them were interested in playing. I'll play tomorrow and Sunday on Masters weekend with their initials on my golf ball. John, Frank, Robert and James, we will all meet once again sometime in the future.

Obviously as a big brother, the experiences are too many to mention. Perhaps it was his toast at Dawn and my wedding as our best man. Perhaps the greatest toast ever made, he had a way with words and I will miss him forever.

Indeed, I eat peanut butter on my pancakes thanks to Jason's dad. What a great obituary. Much love to the Green family.

I'm sure I have memories deep in my brain. Watching him play pony baseball across the street from Wheaton Central
I would climb up on the scoreboard and hang the numbers. I wanted to be anywhere my big brother was.

From Bill Roach: I really loved that 2 of Jim´s Grandchildren characterized his personality
As being just "Him" !! ( Sam & Brady) That
Fits him so well. He was a unique individual.
Extremely intelligent. Loved many many things especially Golf and the Cubs !! He could be very opinionated. But I loved that
As you always knew how he felt about things. His sense of humor was huge. I remember when Sam was born he made
Sure that I knew she was born on the North Side !! His golf page summarizing each weeks golf tournament for our Golf Pool
Was nothing short of excellent. He made
Me look forward to his summaries each week and made me love Golf. We bonded
Over the fact that we were Grandpa´s together and I will miss him a lot !!

Jim was a supportive part of my own recovery and I'll be eternally grateful for our conversations. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

My favorite memories are listening to Jim and David laughing hysterically at our kitchen table. He had the brightest smile and is one of the kindest men I have ever known. I always regretted losing touch with him. He was the best father, uncle and friend. My prayers are with the family. We are all truly blessed to know him and have been part of his journey through life. Rest in peace my friend.
