JAMES GUIDISH Obituary
James A. Guidish, of Amherst, OH. Died Sunday, May 30, 2010, surrounded by his family at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Olmsted Falls, Ohio, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born in Pittsburgh, to the late Paul J. and Amelia (nee Maruskin) Guidish. He was a 1956 graduate of Etna High School. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Judith A. (nee Schermock), three sons; Darryl (wife, Kathryn) of LaGrange, Timothy (wife, Dana) of New Hampshire, David (wife, Pam) of Vancouver, British Columbia; five grandchildren; Jordan, Hannah, Makenna, Tyson, and Reid Guidish; five sisters; Adele Butler of Pittsburgh, Pa., Barbara Bukovac of Pittsburgh, Pa., Elizabeth Guidish of Cranberry Township, Pa., Carole Guidish of Sewickley, Pa., Jacquie Fitch of Reno, Nevada; two brothers; Raymond of Glenshaw, Pa., and William of Etna, Pa., and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two brothers; Paul and Bobby; and a sister Marie Perry. Family will receive friends 5-8pm. Tuesday at GARLAND - MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. Closing prayers will be 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home followed by 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church, Endowment for Catholic Education, 200 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst, OH 44001 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Second Floor, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Deepest sympathy on Jim's passing. I always liked Jim ever since I was a youngster growing up in Etna. Please pass my sympathy to the rest of Jim's brothers & sisters.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Jim. I graduated from Etna High School with Jim and was very fond of him.. He was always full of life and great fun and I shall remember him always. Again, my condolences to the family.

I grew up with Jim in Shalercrest. Jim never had a bad word to say about anybody. I am grateful that I had a chance to visit with him at the Shalercrest reunion.
