James was a new neighbor of ours when we moved to CH five years ago to the corner of Bonad and Grove Streets. He often stopped by on dog walks/strolls and stuck around to speak to me about our dogs (and share stories) or with my husband about our garden. He and his wife also had a lovely garden that they worked on as well. We swapped tips and ideas with him. He was chatty, kind and friendly - something we didn't find a lot of here in Bline, to be honest. When I was missing all our chatty, friendly neighbors in Dorchester - he'd remind me that there was some of that in CH. He always told us about his three wonderful children and how proud he was of all of them; he was especially honest about how much he was not looking forward to the last child finishing high school and how fast time flew when raising children and teens. We commiserated with him about this. He clearly adored his family. I was so sorry to hear about his passing. I had no idea that he had died; I thought his family had just moved away. My deepest sympathies to his wife and children, parents, siblings and extended family and friends. May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him. Thank you James for making a new town and neighborhood a lot more human and kind! Peace, Mary R.
