James Halbach Obituary

James (Jim) Ray Halbach, 89, died March 12, 2023. Jim was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Waite High School in 1952. He attended University of Toledo for two years and then joined the Army. Upon his discharge from the Army, he enrolled at Purdue University and completed his under graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. He then moved to California and continued his education with graduate degrees in both Engineering and Accounting at the University of Southern California. Jim followed a career in engineering and project management within Rockwell and Boeing industries, located in Southern CA. After retirement, Jim was a long-time resident of the Phoenix, AZ area.
Jim pursued his enthusiasm for skiing, cycling, and traveling all over the world. Jim loved to camp and spent as much time as possible in the mountains of Utah. Jim will be greatly missed by his surviving nieces, nephews, and life-long friends. He will be missed for his love, stories and lifetime connections to friends and family.
A service is planned for Jim on May 11, 2023 at Toledo Memorial Park for those that would like to join us.
