To the family of Dr. Hammons,

I worked at Central Baptist Emergency Dept for years as an RN. Dr Hammons was always courteous to the staff and very caring to his patients. When i called him about one of his patients, he knew who they were immediately and there was always geniune caring in his voice. He will be missed.

Dear Janet, Jillisa, and Rosa,

We were saddened to hear the news of Doc's death. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We regret that we cannot be in Lexington for the funeral and interment. We will always cherish the many wonderful memories "The Group" shared as we trekked to different Kentucky State Parks, dined at various restaurants, and entertained each other in our homes. God Bless You.

Janet and Jillisa,

You were blessed with a wondeful father! I remember the day you all moved from Elm Tree Lane to Chinoe and how Dr. Hammons had to leave the supervising of the move because a patient had became ill. I shall always treasure that on your many family outings your dad included me too. God Bless you both and I am praying for you to stay strong.

Janet and Jillisa, Sorry to hear of your Father's passing. "A ROSE MAY LOSE ITS BLOOM, BUT STILL THE FRAGRANCE LINGERS LONG. A BIRD MAY FLY AWAY, YET WE STILL RECALL ITS SONG. SO WHEN SOMEONE WHO IS LOVED DEPARTS TO JOIN THE LORD ABOVE, THEY'LL LIVE AND LAUGH AND BE WITH US IN MEMORIES OF LOVE."
