I am so sorry to hear of the passing of an old friend of mine. I knew Jim when he was in Elementary and Middle School back in the day at Uniontown. His parents lived on S. Mt Vernon Ave just up from where I lived. Jim and I were good friends then. I remember meeting his parents and I believe his grandparents where living with them as well. It been a while. Most of the people there were coal miners. We had good times together. I moved away and went back to live in Altoona, and like most kids never bothered to look up old friends. Glad he made a good life and enjoyed his time on earth.
