Thoughts are with you Margaret, Bryna, Mike and William. I'll miss his infectious laugh and our deep discussions about how far the Habs would go in the playoffs. "Jimmy" as I always called him, will be greatly missed.

Deepest sympathy to Margaret, Bryna and Bill. The Heffernan family in Alta Vista was a great influence on my early life and visiting them late into the night was the best and the only time we got to go to bed after midnight! It was total fun running with the Heffernan's. Remembering Bell, Uncle Gene, Aunt Helen and David. Rest in peace Heff. Cousin Claire Heffernan Quadra Island BC

It was terribly sad to hear of Heff"s passing. He was my brother -in-law and I have great memories of him when he and Patty came for visits to New Brunswick. They made quite a splash in our small town, showing up in the purple , convertible cadillac. His colourful personality and his infectious and boisterous laugh was something to behold. In later years , he and his entourage (you know who you are) would show up at my place in Calgary to stay "a few days" Two months later - he was off on another adventure to the West Coast.I saw him less after this visit but have always had a warm spot in my heart for him. Dear kind man , may you rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies to the Heffernan family on Heff's passing.

I have many fond memories of growing up with Jimmy in Applewood Acres in the 50s and 60s. We were close friends in our childhood. We chummed around, marauding through the neighbourhood at times, and playing football (Heff had great hands and could catch anything) or hockey on the road at other times.

We shared a paper route that took us to the top of Billings Avenue and back, and we spent all of our earnings at Sadaka's store on Pleasant Park Road; we hung around Mike Sadaka's store a lot.

Jimmy was funny, always upbeat, and always ready with a quick comeback or a funny one-liner. Ferd and Peewee were also a part of that childhood and my Dad and Eugene both worked for the Department of Highways of Ontario - or the DHO as it was usually called. There are many connections to the Heffernan family.

Jimmy, and all the Heffernans, were a significant part of my early years; now Jimmy, Peewee and his Mom and Dad are gone but will be forever remembered with much fondness and affection.

Jimmy's friend,

Remembering Heff as a great guy - always a gentleman & had time for all his old friends back in the 1960s. He had a sweetness about him. Sorry to hear this - way too soon Heff. You're in our prayers. God bless you & yours.
