James Paul Hicks

A memorial celebration for James Paul Hicks, 54, of Ormond Beach, who passed away Jan. 22, 2014, will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Aberdeen At Ormond Beach, 50 Alwood Green Blvd. A Chicago native, Mr. Hicks moved to this area in 2002 from Lafayette, IN. He was a flagman in the construction industry. He enjoyed playing cards, the NFL, NASCAR and cherished time spent with his family. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Survivors include his loving companion, Rebecca Wenzel; daughters, Brooke Bloomfield, Ormond Beach, Baylie Hicks, Plymouth, IN; his mother, Lue Nell Haig, Yorkville, IL; his father, William Paul Hicks, Ormond Beach; brothers, Matt Alban and Randy Saylor; sisters, Kathi Bubbett, Kim Balek and Laura Brown; his grandchildren, Kloey and Leo.
