James P. Higgins

James P. Higgins of Norristown, Pa passed away on July 7, 2022 at the age of 77. Born July 11, 1944 to the late Francis and Rose (nee Deturo) Higgins, he was the loving father of Jim Higgins, and Dawn Dillon (Michael); cherished grand father of Trevor and Tyler DuBree; proud great-grandfather of Emmarie Clair DuBree; and dear brother of John Higgins, and Franny Higgins. Jim's passion in life was cooking which he learned from his mother Rose. He worked at the Omni Hotel and the Azalea Restaurant for 20 years. He also got to cook with Chef Emeril Lagasse. He loved his family and friends with all of his heart. He was one of the strongest men that his family knew. He fought many health challenges up until his last breath. His family would like to thank John Young for taking such great care of Jim for many of years. Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration on July 14, 2022 at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton from 10-10:50 AM, followed by his funeral service at 11AM; interment to follow at St. Matthew Cemetery, Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in James' name may be made to the American Diabetes Association via their website www.diabetes.org
