James and I were called to serve as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We entered the mission home in Salt Lake City on September 20, 1965, and were assigned to be companions during our week of training in the Mission Home. We took a train from Salt Lake to Chicago and then flew from Chicago to Atlanta to begin our missions. We were assigned to different areas and new companions. I never saw him again after leaving Atlanta but always remembered him because of his kind and loving nature. He was a jovial person, and I enjoyed our time together. I was saddened to learn of his passing.
Warm regards to his family. Leon Clark, Rigby, ID

He was our bishop when Cecil and I got baptized. Such a loving and caring man. I just saw this and I´m so sorry that I didn´t get a chance to go to his funeral.

I'm so sorry to hear of his death. We had such a nice visit last May when my sister and I had a chance to get to California. He told us such fun stories. He will be missed. Sending prayers and love.
