James Hoban

"James F. Hoban, age 62, of Buzzards Bay, died August 17 surrounded by his family at the BID Hospital in Plymouth. He was the devoted husband of Karen (McGee) Hoban. Loving father of Jackie Hyland and her husband DJ of Carver, James Hoban of Duxbury, John Hoban and his wife Katelyn of Plymouth, Joseph Hoban and his wife Ashley of Plymouth, Jennifer Hoban of Wareham, Jillian Hoban of Buzzards Bay, and Jodi Hoban of Halifax. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, including Sophie his first granddaughter and his brothers; Michael Hoban of Marshfield, and Brian Hoban of Plymouth. Born in Hyde Park on July 4, 1953, son of Marcy (Ubertini) Hoban and the late Warren Hoban. James was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, and went on to serve in the United States Army. James was self-employed. A visitation will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. Plymouth (Manomet), on Sunday from 4:00 till 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place the following day at St. Bonaventures Church in Plymouth (Manomet) at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 pm.
