James Horton Obituary

James Horton, 76, was a lifelong resident of Trenton. James passed away at his home on September 12, 2015.
James was educated in the Trenton Public School System and he worked several jobs where his last employer was the Trenton Housing Authority. James enjoyed bike riding, showing off his martial arts skills and talking was a gift he was blessed to have. He trained his nephew, Carl Moore and special friend Brian Boston in boxing.
James was predeceased by his mother, Esther Horton; father, Arthur Horton Sr.; and brother Clarence Horton, from Bermuda. He leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife Antonea Horton; Gamael Oliver, Elizabeth Davila; his four children, Antonea Moore, Esther Horton-Miller, Bernice Horton-Moreland (Thomas), all of Trenton and Tracey Horton-Wells from Texas; his stepchildren, Gina Granby, Leslie Moore and Christopher Hooks. James is also survived by his siblings, Arthur Horton (Bertha) of Browns Mills, NJ, and Dorothy Brown (Arthur) of California; his uncle the Rev. Frank White Jr. (Nettie) of Trenton; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two nephews; nieces; a host of other family members and friends; and two very special friends, Sonny Boy and Tom B.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Ledford Funeral Home, 929 S. Clinton Avenue, Trenton. Visitation on Friday, from 9–11 a.m. at Ledford Funeral Home.
