I am sadden to learn of James's passing. My dear departed father was an airplain mechanic in the 448 Bomb Group. Iwas trying to contact James with his encyclopedic knowledge and voluminous photo collection. Instead of locating contact information, I discovered his obituary. By just one month, I missed not only reaching a wonderful man, but also the means to help "fill in the gaps" of my father's proud, dedicated service with the 448th B.G. Heartfelt sympathy goes to the Hoseason family on the loss of their dear , loving family man, -to the tourism industry on the loss of an inovative, tireless leader, -to the literary wourld on the loss of a capable, talented aurthor, - to the 448 BG on the loss ofa knowledgeable, helpful friend. everyone lost a good man. Through his family, tourism industry, the 448th BG, and all the people he helped, his legacy continues .

Uncle James,

I only met you the once.

Thank you for that day, I know it was not easy for both of us...

Me being the unknown Hoseason...

I wish we could have known each other better. I wish we could have talked further. Ah well....

Safe journey.

I am going to enclose what I found in Joan's belonging's. What she regarded as her favourite photo of you, and forever how I shall think of you.

Farewell Sir.

Colin, nay Martin John Hoseason.
