James Jacobson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 15, 2011.
James Conrad Jacobson, age 80 of Freedom Township, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
He was born November 21, 1930, in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the son of the late William "Ole" and Myrtle M. (Brandes) Jacobson. Jim graduated from the University of Iowa and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. (Susan) Jacobson II of Cuyahoga Falls, Brian (Kathy) Jacobson of Carrollton, Andrew Jacobson of Hartville, Mary (Carey) Norris of Massillon; step-children: Kim (Rick) Cook of Ravenna, Billie Lambert of Tyler, TX, Mark (Amanda) Lambert of Greenville, TX, Melanie Lambert of Ravenna, Julie Lambert of Ravenna; grandchildren: Kristine and Steven Jacobson, Josey and Shelby Huls, Andrew and Emily Jacobson, Katelyn, Allen and Corey Jacobson, and Jorja Faye Norris; step-grandchildren: Rachael (Billy) Tharp, Jared Cook, Austin, Ariel, Angel, and Evan Lambert, Taylor Lambert, and Derek Hollman; and great-grandchildren: Alayna and Justin Tharp.
Friends will be received Monday, September 19, 2011, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the Portage Community Chapel, 6490 State Route 14, Ravenna, Ohio, 44266. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Barry Shahan Monday at 5:00 PM. Private burial will take place on a later date at Drakesburg Cemetery.

Mary, You've been through so much, it just doesn't seem fair. I'm sorry for your loss. I know you were close to your Dad and I wish I could ease your pain. Jorja and Carey have that same pain and I'm helpless to change that, too. Please find comfort that he had a good life and that he found success, which I'm sure made him happy. Can't ask for much more. Love, Aunt Mart
