James was 78 yrs old
James spent the majority of his life in Martinez. Before joining the Marines and fighting in Vietnam,he worked here and there at his father's hardware store ( E.Morgan Hardware) downtown Martinez.
Returning from Vietnam with an honorable discharge,he was a contracted painter,then found a new career as a Maintenance 2 worker for the city of Pleasant Hill.
He is the youngest son of James Jory and Hilda Hayden Jory. He was recently divorced and survived by his son James of Cottonwood and his daughter Carleen of Martinez. James has 2 grandsons,Robyn and Nicholas,and 2 great grandchildren, Saphira and River of Oklahoma.
