Pansy Patricia Hall was born in New Westminster, BC in a delivery room surrounded by American and Canadian flags. She grew up on Seattle's Queen Anne Hill and graduated from the University of Washington where she met her future husband, Alan Hoelting. They married on September 17,
1942 and enjoyed 62 years together until his death in 2005. Al and Pat settled on Whidbey Island in 1989 and remained there for the final years of their lives. She took pride in their 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Pat died at home the way she lived: with grace, courage and determination. Her love of family and thirst for knowledge will continue to inspire all who knew her.
