General Keck was my very first Wing Commander456th Bomb Wing at Robins AFB in Georgia in 1964. He is one of the reasons I stayed in the Air Force. He was the consummate gentleman. I had the highest respect for him as a leader who never raised his voice or berated anyone. He was a Class Act! I am just now learning of his passing. My belated condolences to his family. He was a GREAT human being!

On behalf of the Rhode Island Aviation Hall of Fame, I extend most sincere condolences to Jim Keck's family. We were privileged to be able to induct him (along with son Tom) in 2009. Godspeed.

Gen. Keck was the best officer I ever worked for. I was his crew chief on RC-135 tail # 8061 at Barksdale. I last saw him in 1973. I remember him well. RIP Jim your mission is over.
