James Joseph Kiefer

James Joseph Kiefer age 55 died Tuesday October 22, 2013 at his home in Warren. James was born July 9, 1958 in Detroit Michigan the son of Joseph and Donna (nee: Luteran) Kiefer. James was raised in Warren and graduated the class of 1976 from Warren Cousino High School. Following high school Jim continued his education at Wayne State University for two more years. Mr. Kiefer began his employment with General Motors Fisher Body first as an apprentice metal model maker and eventually working into skilled trades model making with the interior trim group. Jim worked for 19 years with General Motors before breaking off with Delphi and eventually Lear. When Jim was not working he was passionate about boating and loved every minute spent on his boat or just hanging out at the Markley Marina with his second family of fellow boaters. Jim will be remembered by all who had the opportunity to know him, as a fun life loving person. Beloved son of Joseph G. (Byron) Kiefer and the late Donna M. Kiefer. Dear brother of Mark (Jane) Kiefer, and Uncle of Jason Kiefer, and Amanda (Ryan) Chutorash and Great Uncle to Kennedy. James was generous, kind and loved by most everyone that knew him. He was an avid boater. He is dearly missed by his family, friends and many boating friends at Markley Marina. Arrangements entrusted to D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home.
