James William Kinsey

James "Billy" Kinsey, age 78, went to his final resting place on April 2, 2018 after a short illness.
James was born on July 19, 1938 to Oliver "Ollie" Kinsey and Fannie "Ina" Jenkins Kinsey in Pottsville.
He was raised in the Pottsville area and on August 25, 1962, Jim married Lauwana "Lou" Ransom.
Billy proudly served our country for 22 years as a flight engineer in the Navy and was also in Vietnam. While in the military, he was also in the Jaycee's. Jim served on the Pottsville Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Lauwana Kinsey, his parents Ollie and Ina Kinsey, son-in-law Tom Masterson, two brothers-in-law Bill Tomlinson and Phil Hivnor and sister-in-law Sharon Kinsey.
He is survived by two daughters, Margie and husband Greg Warwas, and Debra Masterson; and two sons, Joel and wife Kim Kinsey and Bill Kinsey. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with 1 step granddaughter, 2 sisters June Hivnor and Jean Tomlinson one brother Dale Kinsey.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Riley Funeral Home and Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel and burial to follow at Pottsville Cemetery in Pottsville.
