When we are out on the Discovery Trail we still often think of Jim and remember seeing him so many times on his trike. His cheerful presence is still alive on the trail. We miss him.

Jim was one of the best people in the Klahhane Club. It was a pleasure and an honor to know him.

My husband and I regularly ride the trail and often saw Jim out on his trike. We often stopped for a short conversation. He was such an inspiration and it was always a pleasure to wave and chat with him. He was always smiling and happy to be out on the beautiful trail. His absence will be missed but we will not forget his presence.

I met Jim on the ODT trail in Sequim in 2020 when I moved here from Seattle.
I have met so many people walking on the trail and many are very dear friends, but when I met Jim, it was different.
He brought so much joy and inspiration to the trail and myself.
I gave him a nick name.( Jim dandy)
He was an icon on the trail.
He was known as 3 wheel Jim also.
He bought a new bike a few years back and I bought him a bright new flag and a chain cleaner for one of his birthdays along with a card signed by many of his friends on the trail.
Hi face was priceless when he received it.
He teared up, as I told him that I wanted him to be safe and seen as he rode his many miles from home to the Nature Center almost everyday.
His smile and our conversations through the years will be forever in my .
He was light and I will miss him dearly.
