Our Christmas Party at the Fireside
October 31, 2017
There were a few of us around 73 who were fortunate to have met Jim after he had gotten out of the Navy. We all worked overnights at Target Foods (Applebaum's) in WSP. Jim, Gunner was quite the character, with a great sense of humor, and not always abiding completely by the rules. His great quote was Stand by for heavy rolls whenever some situation arouse that required our crew to receive a pep talk.
Jim loved his Harley and gave me a ride up Robert Street one early morning after work. It was truly a moment that I will never forget since I had to hang on for dear life. Our crew often times met at the Fireside Lounge and the picture is from a Christmas party.
Thank you my old friend. God Bless you and we will all see you again in Heaven.
