Dublin, Georgia - Becky Watson, age 90, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Keith Goodlett will officiate.
Mrs. Watson was born in Claxton, Georgia on November 2, 1932, to the late Benjamin E. Brown and the late Beulah Smith. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Home Economics and was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority, where she served a term as president. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dublin where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Dublin Service League and one of the founders of the Dublin Antique Fair. Becky was an avid reader and was accomplished at sewing and needlework. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul M. Watson, Jr; and sister, Martha Kathryn Brown.
She is survived by her children; Paul M. Watson, III (Chrystal) of Macon, Allyson W. Heard (Ken) of Dublin and Benjamin E. Watson; grandchildren; Calli W. Yi (Steven) of Pittsburgh, PA, Colby W. Valk (Mason) of Atlanta, Joseph Daniel Watson of Middleburgh, VA, Elizabeth Ann Heard of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kathryn Marshall Heard of Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Dublin Music Department, P.O. Box 665 Dublin, GA 31040. Please visit www.townsendfuneralhome.com to sign the online memorial register.
