James Lasch Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 8, 2025.
James "Jim" Henry Lasch, born in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5th, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 85.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked for the Boy Scouts of America, a role that brought him to Louisville, a city he would call home. He further served his community as a member of the Louisville Police Department.

Jim held a lifelong fascination with airplanes and the art of flight. He shared his love of aviation as a volunteer with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Young Eagles Program.

He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A private memorial will take place at a later date. He will be buried in Wheeling.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jim's memory to Hosparus Health and the EAA Chapter 110 Young Eagles Program. Contributions can be sent to:
