A great man! I remember him visiting my father, Baxton Bryant, at our home in Swannanoa NC with his sons. They had fun climbing a red dirt bank behind the house. Condolences to his family.

One of all-time greats. From Justice for Janitors to the getting the first alternative elementary school in our neighborhood to pastoring Holman United Methodist on Adam´s Blvd. a great human being who will be sorely missed. RIP indeed!

Rev Lawson is an icon of our time but to our family, he's 'Jim'. The friendship that he and our father forged changed our lives in so many ways. The Fishers send love to the Lawsons and we know that our families are forever bound by something special.

As a child growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, I knew of the struggle my parents and previous generations endured for denied privileges and rights. To meet and glean lessons from our meeting was nothing short of a blessing. Memphis Tennessee is blessed because of your presence among us. The legacy is perpetual.
The works of Dr. James Lawson are etched, both in time and eternity. Blessings to the Lawson Family.
